If you’re looking for ammunition, you’re either going to be out of luck or — out of pocket.

Gun stores across the country are experiencing a shortage.

With a lot going on at once such as a global pandemic, an election year and civil unrest in a few cities across the country — that has some people stocking up on bullets.

Gun shop owners like Josh South, president of South’s Outpost in Spanish Fort, are seeing a demand for ammunition but the supply is the issue.

South says COVID-19 has greatly impacted how manufacturers get the basic components needed to make ammo like copper and other metals. He adds his shop has more than four million rounds on back order.
